We've set a new fundraising goal on our Lower the Drinking Age cause on Facebook. Everyone should help make this NYRA's most successful fundraising effort ever. After the massive media attention generated by the Amethyst Initiative, we've never been in a better position to shift the debate on the drinking age in our favor. We need money to do this. So everyone on this list please go to the Facebook cause page linked below (you have to be signed in first to actually see it) and give what you can, even if it's just $10. Make sure to recruit everyone you know and to get as many of them as you can to promote the hell out of this cause also.

21K To End 21 on Facebook
On December 5th of this year, it will have been 75 years since the ratification of the 21st Amendment, finally ending Prohibition. In honor of this occasion, we would like, with your help, to raise $21,000 to lower the drinking age for the millions of American young adults still prohibited from drinking today.

This money will go towards holding discussion and debate events, chapter training workshops, creating materials to spread information about safe and responsible drinking, provide seed money for campus chapters, and most importantly, an advertising budget. Without the ability to get the word out on the radio, newspapers, blogs, Google, or TV spots -- something our opponents have money for in abundance -- we will always be fighting against the current.

If just 10% of our current supporters on this cause on Facebook donated just $10 each, we would easily smash through this fundraising goal. So give what you can, get involved, and help the cause.
